DHHS Graduating Class of 2022


GRADUATION CEREMONY, 7:30 PM, MAY 18 AT HALLFORD STADIUM

COVID protocol: The DeKalb County School District strongly encourages the wearing of masks and adherence to all other protocols as published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). 


  • Each senior will receive 12 tickets for graduation. No other information was given with regards to obtaining more tickets. Ticket distribution will occur some time in early May. 

  • If your graduate is riding the bus to the stadium, the bus will load at 4:45 pm at the school.The coach buses will leave the school at 5:15 pm. 

  • Graduates need to be at the stadium by 6:30 pm. The parking lot for Hallford Stadium will be open to the guests by 6 pm. 

  • The ceremony will start at 7:30 pm and last no longer than 1 hour. We are the last ceremony of the day. 

  • If your graduate is riding the bus from the stadium, the bus will load at 8:30 pm at the stadium. - The coach buses will leave the stadium at 8:45 pm. Buses should be at DHHS by 9:15/9:30 pm. 

  • Please fill out the Graduation Transportation Form and Media Release Form by April 22nd: https://tinyurl.com/dhhsgrad22  - If you/your graduate needs to change your response, please fill the form out again.

  • The seniors’ last day is Tuesday May 10th. 

  • Senior final exams will be Monday, May 9th for 1st and 3rd periods, and Tuesday, May 10th for 2nd and 4th periods. - Teachers with A/B classes will communicate with their students on their final exam times. 

  • DHHS graduation practice will be on Thursday May 12th. Time TBD (expect it to be in the morning). - Graduates will receive their cap/gown during this time. 



Students need to be cleared for graduation. 


They will need to complete the items on the graduation check-out list: 

  • Complete Mandatory Senior Tasks in Naviance (see counseling website

  • See Dr. Jackson for textbook fines 

  • See Mr. Alexander for Chromebooks and hotspots (collection day TBD) 

  • See Ms. Rascoe for Media Center obligations

  • See Coach George for athletic gear and fines


SENIOR WEEK


The senior class is planning on having senior week during the last week of April, (4/25 - 4/29). The themed days will be Monday-Thursday (themes TBD) and Friday April 29 will be the Senior Picnic. 

 

Seniors will attend 1st and 2nd periods on Friday, and then go to the yearbook party to receive their yearbook and/or the field to celebrate with lunch and lots of fun inflatables. Seniors will receive their yard sign at the picnic.
