Congratulations to Senior Julius Hunnter Goins. Hunnter is the recipient of the prestigious Gates Millenium Scholarship. Hunnter will be attending the US Naval Academy in the fall. He is a community advocate demonstrating leadership and community service by working with many outreach organizations. Recently, Hunnter worked with Men Stopping Violence and the DeKalb County Solicitor-General, Donna Coleman-Stribling, to raise awareness community-wide and beyond. He is also working with the DeKalb County Health Department Director, Stephanie Carter, in raising awareness about teen mental health. All in all, Hunnter has been hard at work from his academics and beyond, by helping others, especially our African American young men.
