Happy New Year Parents and Guardians,
I know many of you are anxious for updates, and I apologize for any confusion around this week's class schedule and asynchronous days. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are officially asynchronous days (no live teaching sessions, and students are provided virtual assignments to complete on their own. Students need to check their online classrooms for assignments); however, many of our teachers will have optional, live, virtual sessions Thursday and Friday to review for upcoming exams, check-in with students, answer questions, etc. Teachers who choose to hold class will communicate this to their students this week. Students are not required to attend these sessions, but I would encourage them to attend. Students are required to complete any asynchronous assignments for both days.
Daily Class Schedule
We will continue with the same class schedule (9:45 AM - 1:50 PM) through Jan 13th.
Starting January 19th (first day of second semester) - our daily schedule will be 8:10 AM - 3:10 PM
Students do not have classes Jan 14 - Jan 18
DHHS Re-entry Town Hall Meeting
I am postponing this Thursday's DHHS Town Hall meeting to next Thursday, Jan. 14th at 6:00 PM. The DCSD Board of Education meets January 11. Part of that meeting will be an updated re-entry presentation, and I want the most relevant and up-to-date information to share with you. The new meeting link - Jan 14 DHHS Meeting

Student Cohorts
Students/families who choose to return when we transition to the hybrid face2face model (you should have indicated this in the survey above) will follow this cohort schedule -
A Cohort (all grades) - students with last names beginning with A - K.
B Cohort (all grades) - students with last names beginning with L - Z.

As we move through the re-entry process, there may be changes in the plan. DCSD will communicate those changes, and I will send follow-up emails regarding any changes to the re-entry schedule.
